NQ Connect
NQ Connect is a free phone and online counselling service for people aged 15 years and over in the Northern Queensland Primary Health Network (NQPHN) region. Services can be accessed via phone, online chat, and video counselling.

MH CALL
MH CALL (1300 642 255) is a confidential mental health telephone triage service that provides the first point of contact to public mental health services to Queenslanders. 1300 MH CALL is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and will link to the caller’s nearest Queensland Public Mental Health service.
Suicide Call Back Service
Suicide Call Back Service provide free counselling for suicide prevention & mental health via telephone, online & video for anyone affected by suicidal thoughts, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This service can also be accessed if you are supporting someone with suicial thoughts or mental health issues.

Beyond Blue
Beyond Blue is an Australian independent non-profit organisation working to address issues associated with depression, suicide, anxiety disorders and other related mental disorders. They offer 24 hour telephone phone crisis support.

Lifeline
Lifeline provides free, 24-hour Telephone Crisis Support service in Australia. Volunteer Crisis Supporters provide suicide prevention services, mental health support and emotional assistance, not only via telephone, text and online.

- Real-time using ‘SMS’ technology
- Confidential one-to-one with a trained Lifeline Crisis Supporter
- Please note: Due to demand on this service there maybe times when we cannot connect you to a crisis support even during their operating times. Supporting you is important to us and you can call 13 11 14 to talk to a Crisis Supporter if their Text service is not able to connect you to a crisis supporter at any time. Please call triple zero (000) if life is in danger.

Headspace
Headspace centres act as a one-stop shop for young people who need help with mental health, physical health (including sexual health), alcohol and other drugs, or work and study support.

You Are Not Alone
SANE Australia has created an online platform for when someone close to you has suicidal thoughts or attempts suicide to support the carers navigate this difficult time.
SP Peer CARE Connect
SP Peer CARE Connect is a suicide prevention ‘warmline’ call-back service, and has been created by Roses in the Ocean to provide a safe place for people with a lived experience of suicide to connect with others with a similar lived experience of suicide. The service provides people with an opportunity to connect, be heard, and for their distress to be compassionately explored and understood by another person through the mutual understanding that comes with meaningful shared experience. This service may assist in providing relief from emotional distress, explore coping strategies, provide suggestions for online resources and/or information.

REACHOUT.COM
ReachOut.com is an internet service for young people that provides information, support and resources about mental health issues and enable them to develop resilience, increase coping skills, and facilitate help-seeking behaviour.

Parentline
Parentline is a confidential telephone service providing professional counselling and support in Queensland and the Northern Territory. Their phones are open every day from 8am – 10pm, while WebChat is available every day from 8am – 9pm.
Kids Helpline
Kids Helpline is a free, private and confidential 24/7 phone and online counselling service for young people aged 5 to 25.
Elder Support
A hotline has been activated to assist older people and other people who are required to be in quarantine or self-isolation and who have no other means or mechanisms of support to secure essential food or medicines. (This was the Community Recovery Hotline and is managed by Dept of Communities, Disability Services and Seniors.)
Wellmob Healing Our Way
WellMob Healing Our Way is fantastic resource aimed at providing social, emotional and cultural wellbeing online for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The resources are broken down into various content types including apps, websites, audio, documents and social media.
